Sembrando Inglés Comercial will award 400 scholarships to entrepreneurs from across the country

For the second year in a row, the Business English programme, set in Sembrando, will offer 400 scholarships to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from across the country. This second edition is sponsored by the US Embassy, ​​supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and implemented by the Uruguay-US Cultural Alliance.

The Sembrando Inglés Comercial 2022 was held last Thursday, March 31, in the auditorium of the Executive Tower, and was attended by national authorities and members of the media.

For both the Sembrando program and the companies supporting the initiative, the English language is vital to boosting international trade and exports between countries. It is an important intercultural communication tool, favoring the marketing of new products and services. Therefore, this course enhances entrepreneurs and internal entrepreneurs in their personal, business and professional development and encourages them to communicate commercially in English, both orally and in writing, to improve their internationalization strategies.

For its part, the course this year will be divided into Entrepreneurs Level 1 and Level 2 Entrepreneurs and will last 90 hours in three modules (Level 1) or 96 hours in 4 modules (Level 2), spread between April and October.

It must be remembered that 400 scholarships will be offered to entrepreneurs from all over the country, and 20 groups of 20 students will be formed to participate online, with synchronous and asynchronous and Web Talk
Led by experts in entrepreneurship.

In the end, students will be awarded a Certificate of Participation and a Diploma of Completion after successfully completing the entire course.

To apply for this scholarship, you must have a well-developed business and, in turn, be seeking an international offer or have a profile within entrepreneurship within organizations where Business English training offers international opportunities.

Another requirement is that you be of legal age and have completed UTU high school or the baccalaureate, and you may have up to 4 subjects pending. They also have access to a computer and an Internet connection that allows them to work online. Finally, be prepared to invest 4 hours per week in the course and commit to completing it in full.

To apply, candidates must record a presentation video of a maximum of 60 seconds, take the Alianza Self-Test and complete the form

The deadline will be extended until April 17th and those selected will be notified on the 22nd of the same month. In the meantime, the courses will begin on the 25th.
