Scholarships from the Ministry of Education: application period is open

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training announces general scholarships for the academic year 2022-2023 for students who are pursuing their post-compulsory studies.

Who can apply for grants from the Ministry of Education?

Students who do not exceed a certain income and/or family wealth, who meet certain academic achievement requirements and take some of the following courses, may apply for scholarships for this call:

1. Post-compulsory and higher education non-university From the Spanish education system and valid throughout the national territory:

    • First and second courses of high school.
    • Vocational training of medium and higher level, including vocational training studies conducted in military education centers.
    • Professional art education.
    • Mathematical teachings.
    • Higher technical education.
    • Higher Religious Studies.
    • Language studies conducted in public schools owned by educational departments, including the distance method.
    • Access to vocational training entrance exam preparation courses and courses and specific training courses for access to intermediate and higher level training courses taught at public centers and at private coordinating centers that have accredited professional training courses.
    • Primary training courses.

2. University teachings global system Spanish taught in Spanish centers and is valid throughout the national territory:

    • University education leading to official bachelor’s and master’s degrees, including bachelor’s and master’s studies completed at university centers for defense and civil guards.

What is the economic amount for education grants?

The economic amount of the scholarship consists of a fixed amount and another variable amount.

The fixed amounts will be as follows:

  1. Undergraduate Scholarship. The scholarship amount will cover the amount of credits the student is first enrolled in in the 2022-2023 academic year.
  2. A fixed amount linked to the student’s income: 1700 euros for undergraduate and non-university students.
  3. A fixed amount linked to the student’s residence during the academic year: 1600 euros for undergraduate and non-university students.
  4. Fixed amount linked to academic excellence: between 50 and 125 euros for both undergraduate and non-university students.
  5. Basic Scholarship for Non-University Students300 euros. In the case of scholarship holders attending the basic degree training courses, this amount will be 350 euros.
