FPU Scholarships for University Professor Training
Until December 17th, the deadline to apply for one of the scholarships for the Training of University Teachers (FPU) announced by the Ministry of Universities every year was open.
In this new call, 885 scholarships were announced, of which 18 are for students with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%.
These scholarships are intended to fund pre-doctoral contracts in affiliation centers, and have a duration of four years. As for the endowment, they provide a monthly amount of €1,188 for the first two years, €1,273 for the third year and €1,591 for the fourth year.
In order to access these scholarships, it is necessary to have one of the degrees specified in the call. In addition, those who opt for a pre-doctoral FPU must have completed the corresponding studies after January 1, 2018 (in the case of Bachelor’s degree, Engineering and Architecture).

La Caixa Foundation PhD Scholarships
Each year, the La Caixa Foundation announces scholarships for young researchers of all nationalities to undertake doctoral studies in any discipline and at any university or research center in Spain or Portugal.
The INPhINIT PhD Scholarships offer a competitive stipend and transversal skills training through annual courses, industry residency, and incentives upon completion of the thesis.
Scholarships are divided into two modes:
– 35 incoming scholarships to implement their project in Spanish research centers, approved by the Spanish Seal of Excellence. Deadline until January 27, 2022.
30 Reserve grants for doctoral projects in any research field and any university or research center in Spain or Portugal. The class is open until February 16, 2022.
PhD Scholarships at AUIP
The Association of Ibero-American Universities for Postgraduate Studies (AUIP) also announces specific scholarships for the defense of doctoral theses. The aim is to facilitate the thesis for students of Ibero-American cooperative doctoral training programs signed between Spanish universities and Latin American universities.
Specifically, AUIP makes available to interested persons a maximum of 10 grants (5 for the first batch and 5 for the second batch), up to a maximum of €2,000.
Applications must be submitted through the AUIP application until December 20 for the first semester and until June 20, 2022 for the second semester.

Grants from the Government of the Canary Islands
At the regional level, the Government of the Canary Islands has also opened the application period for grants from the Training Program for Research Officers.
This aid has a duration of four years and has a total remuneration of €16,638 for the first and second years of the thesis. Specifically, an amount of €17,827 for the third year and a fourth annual payment of €22,284.
In order to access one of these scholarships, you must have an academic record with a minimum grade point average equal to or greater than 6. In addition, not all applicants applying for one of these scholarships may have completed studies that give them access to a program PhD before January 1, 2017.
The application period will be available until December 9, through the electronic office of the Government of the Canary Islands.

Salvador de Madaraja Pre-Doctoral Scholarships in January 2022
As a preview, at the beginning of January 2022, the Salvador de Madaraja Pre-Doctoral Scholarships will arrive. These scholarships are specific scholarships for pre-doctoral training at IUE (Institute of European University of Florence).
In the next call for 2022, a total of 12 fellowships for pre-doctoral contracts will be given the green light, which will be for a maximum period of four years.
In order to apply, candidates must have a master’s degree, or equivalent, in legal, economic, commercial, political, social or human science subjects as of August 31, 2022.
In addition, you must be a Spanish citizen or a foreign national residing in Spanish territory and be proficient in English at level C1.
