Junta de Castilla y León has opened the deadline to apply for university scholarships 2021-2022 that can be requested until May 9 through a computer application on the Education Portal, while it will be resolved around July “and in any case, before the maximum conditions in the contact command.
For this purpose, the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (Bocyl) publishes in its edition on Friday, 8 April the second call for assistance addressed to students registered at Castilla y León universities who have already benefited from state aid and for which a budget of 3.1 million euros is allocated.
Specifically and as stated by the Ministry of Education, for the second year in a row and due to changes in assistance from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP), the Board sets two methods, such as academic achievement aimed at students second year and beyond and will be awarded in relation to the credits passed in the year academic year 2020-2021.
In this case, the Autonomous Administration will allocate more than 1.5 million euros for this assistance and in no case may the amount of this concept be less than one euro or more than ten for each credit exceeded.
Recipients must be enrolled in at least 60 credits in the current academic period and have a net household income in 2020 of less than €14,112 for a counted member; 24.089 euros for two people; 32,697 euros for three people; 38,831 euros for four; €43,402 for five years; 46,853 euros for six; 50,267 euros for seven; and 53,665 euros for eight. From the eighth member, 3,391 euros will be added to each new computerized member.
On the other hand, in the case of income, with a budget of more than 1.5 million euros, all undergraduates may also be beneficiaries. Do not exceed certain thresholds for income ”, according to the same sources.
The minimum amount of this assistance is €100 and the maximum is €350. For this method, the net family income must be less than €8,422 for a calculated member in 2020; 12,632 euros for two people; 16,843 euros for three people; 21,054 euros for four; 24,423 euros for five years; 27,791 euros for six; 31,160 euros for seven; and 34,529 euros for eight. From the eighth member, 3,368 euros will be added to each new counted member.
According to the same sources, if the credit is not exhausted in granting any of these methods, the remainder can be applied to finance the other and if there is enough budget available to meet the minimum amounts set for each method, proceed to divide the maximum total amount allotted to the beneficiaries, specifying The maximum amount.
Students who wish to apply for these scholarships must complete the application through the computer application available on the Education Portal or at the Department’s online headquarters. Before May 9, they must register it electronically or in person in the register of the Ministry of Education or in any of the records provided for in the Law on Common Administrative Procedures for Public Administrations.
Last year, 4,215 students in the second year and beyond benefited exclusively from the use method, and 3,434 students were added to it, in addition, they received the income method. On the other hand, 2,253 exclusive income grants were awarded. In total, the Ministry of Education awarded scholarships to 9902 undergraduate students in the amount of €3 million.
