Consell allocates €422,805 scholarships for Menorcans studying abroad

Consell de Menorca has allocated a total of €42,805 to assist students studying outside the island, in order to compensate for the high economic cost of studying outside their usual place of residence.

With this line of subsidies, the Island Foundation also intends to supplement the assistance granted by the Balearic Government, the state government highlighted Friday in a statement.

Of the total allocated amount, 350,000 euros have been assumed by Consell de Menorca through its budget, while the remaining 77,805 euros is from the regional government.

These lines will make it possible to grant travel assistance to students who have a family home on the island and who are studying for a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in the European Union.

On the other hand, it aims to promote equal opportunities and facilitate the access of Menorcan students to universities, intermediate or higher vocational training, higher technical studies and unregulated postgraduate studies.

The limit for compatibility with government grants will be 3,500 euros.
