Colombian rugby team left without a World Cup dream

The Scottish women’s rugby team will play the next World Cup in New Zealand after beating Colombia 59-3 in the play-off between the two national teams in Dubai.

In this way, Scotland occupies the last available position for the event which will take place between 8 October and 12 November and is framed in the first group along with the hosts, Australia and Wales.

Colombia, for its part, is still on the cusp after beating Brazil in the continental qualifiers, Kenya in the duel against the second best player in Africa and finally Kazakhstan – the second best player in Asia – already in Dubai.

With regard to the World Cup, except for the first group in which Scotland will be located, Canada, the United States, Italy and Japan will play in the second group and England, France, South Africa and Fiji will play in the third group.
