Beauty has no age limit

Likewise, this initiative aims to break down stereotypes and traditionalism and celebrate women and aging.

A recent market research by Getty Images Visual GPS showed that 2 out of 3 women globally said they experience prejudice or discrimination in all its forms, with nearly a quarter (21%) of women saying age is one of the main reasons women experience prejudice.

The research also reveals that age is often underrepresented in visual storytelling, with nearly half of the women featured in the most popular images (53%) of young adults or less than 30 years old. Regardless of age, less than 1% of the photos include LGBTQ+ women and women with larger body types and only 1% of the photos include women with disabilities.

Dr. Rebecca Swift, Global Director of Creative Insights at Getty Images said: “The images we see in marketing and advertising every day continue to distort the reality of what aging looks like today.
