AMP announces its call for scholarships for master’s degree in Maritime, Logistics and Port Issues

Panama Marine SaladMPA), announced this Wednesday a advertisement for the program Scholarships Maritime China-Panama for a Master’s degree in Maritime, Logistics and Port Issues.

Details explain that in this call, a total of eight people will be selected for master’s degrees which will be of two years duration at Dalian Maritime University and classes will be held in the virtual manner, until further notice, and this is due to the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Equal participation of men and women will be pursued, in pursuit of promoting and ensuring gender parity and compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” states the AMP report.

It states that those interested, both public servants and the general population, can send all required requirements to the email secgen@amp.gob.pa from 16 March to 6 April 2022. Among the requirements, he details the following:

  • Be a Panamanian citizen, of legal age and under 35.
  • Possess an undergraduate degree and official credits in positions related to the fields of study offered.
  • Advanced English (You must provide a certificate showing the level you have reached).
  • English language research proposal (research proposal) 2500 words.
  • Motivation letter in English.
  • Police record translated into English.
  • Resume in Spanish and English.
  • Good physical and mental health certificate (valid for at least 6 months).
  • Two letters of recommendation in English.
  • Fellow was not this program.
  • Interview in Spanish and English.
  • Send in one email all scanned documents in PDF format indicating your name and master’s degree in the subject.

He adds that people who comply with all required documents will be contacted with a date for their interview, which will be conducted online by an external evaluation panel between April 11-12 and 13.

It is worth noting that according to the MOU on Implementation of the Marine Scholarship Program that AMP has concluded with the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, the Master’s degrees offered are:
